Originally drawn for the Escaflowne fanart contest at AnimeNation, the sketch kind of got put away when I found out that I'd been disqualified from the contest. Apparently they didn't goog with the possibility of someone winning the contest twice in a row. ^^; But I rather liked the pose, so I dug it up around late June and finished it.
The lighting gave me problems because this picture had two very prominent light sources, namely Hitomi's wings, FACING EACH OTHER ... but it turned out okay, methinks.
